BUBS isn’t just a brand—it’s you, it’s me, it’s our namesake Glen “BUB” Doherty. And, as more than a brand, we have a reputation to uphold and lives to honor: Glen’s life, but also your life.
Founded in 2017 after a coffee meeting between Sean Lake and TJ Ferrara, BUBS Naturals is a nature-derived product line for athletes, adventure seekers, and adrenaline junkies. Prior to being heroically killed in Benghazi, Libya, in 2012, Glen was all these things—and more. Glen’s life was unfortunately cut short—but during his time— Glen celebrated life and got off on the idea of pushing others to live better, play harder, and recreate longer.
If you were lucky enough to become a member of Glen’s CULT OF RECREATIONALISM, it meant that you were living your life in a way that inspired others to live their life in the most expansive way possible. And, while others measure their success in nickels and dimes, recreationalists measure theirs in sweat and time. Because there’s nogreater wealth than being able to spend time doing what you love. And, well, here at BUBS, we LOVE doing hard stuff—testing ourselves as often as possible just to see what we’re capable of.
Chances are, if you’re reading this, you’re already one of us: a recreationalist. So, consider the preceding paragraph your official invitation to join the Cult of Recreationalism. (It’s not really a cult— unless you’re into that kind of thing—we’re just a bunch of like- minded individuals who like wrangling life, and doing tough, adventurous things.) Put simply… LIVE BETTER, LONGER.
BUB was an adventure seeker, a river guide, skier, Ironman competitor, fitness fanatic, chef, gardener, handyman, and epic storyteller. BUB was a national hero... a Navy SEAL who saved lives, was always the life of the party, and became a best friend to all who knew him. That spirit lives within each of us. Join us in bringing out the BUB in everyone. We abide by the 10% rule, where 10% OF ALL PROFITS GO TO CHARITY.
